Even in the digital world that we’re living in selling your home doesn’t always take place online. A good Realtor has spent years networking with other Realtors, Loan Officers, Escrow Officers, Attorneys, Contractors, countless other professionals, and neighbors. The buyer for your home could be sitting in your Realtor’s rolodex right now.
Next week we will be closing a sale for one of our local families. We had one showing, one offer, and settled on a fair price for all parties. The seller had planned a few months ahead and was not in a rush to move. In fact, the seller couldn’t move because their new home was still under construction.
The seller and I developed our plan for fixing up the home. This plan included updating the kitchen with new cabinets and counters, as well as redoing the flooring. I used my contacts to secure bids for these jobs. These improvements were going to come with a heavy investment, but it was going to be worth it.
While working through a plan for fixing up the home one of my past clients reached out to me about his desire to purchase a home in the Del Cerro or La Mesa area. His requirements roughly matched this particular property in Del Cerro that I was working on. We arranged a showing and it went well and the buyers and sellers settled on a price. The sellers didn’t need to update their home and the sale went smoothly. The buyers will be using my contacts to update the home when they take possession.
Sometimes your buyer is closer than you think. If you’re thinking of selling your home and looking to explore all your options reach out to me. My clients hire me because I’m able to prepare their home for sale with my personal investment. They hire me because they know I pull out all the stops when it comes to photography, aerial photography, and video. They hire me because of my experience and hands-on approach. An added benefit to hiring me is that I’m a great networker too. I may already know your buyer! It’s possibly one more option for you, and we all like options!
